Rip'n Rio Z: 1999 17hh, registered Hanoverian Stallion Rip'n Rio Z was bred and raised in Ontario where he competed successfully in Jumper Classes at the Gold Level to 1.25m in his younger years. New Horizon Ranch purchased him as an older stallion. In 2023 we made the decision to present him at the Canadian Warmblood stallion inspection where he successfully received his breeding license for the CWHA. He received comments for his lovely temperament, and longevity as well as showing great rhythm and balance in all his gaits. Rio stamps his offspring with his talent, rideability, willingness to work, beautiful movement and conformation. Many of his offspring are competing successfully in all rings across Canada and the United States. Rio’s pedigree traces back to many top foundational Hannoverian bloodlines. On the Dam side of his pedigree he has two of the most successful D lines with Duellant twice, who sired 42 licensed stallions and is found in most modern dressage lines today. The other D-line through Dollart is the successful showjumping branch. His pedigree also has strong presence of the F/W lines as well. His Dam’s-Sire Feinschnitt traces back to Ferrara a prolific sire line with sought after jumping abilities found in many modern show jumpers. The other Branch is the Flick-Fling line, on his Sire’s side. His Sire Rio Grande was the most successful Hunter/Jumper sire in Canadian history, he himself a winner of multiple international jumping classes as well as being shortlisted to go to the Olympics with the Canadian team. Other notable horses in his pedigree include Ramiro Z, Abglanz, Pik Konig, and Son-In-Law. Rio Is still actively ridden, sound, and is still proving to have high fertility even for his age. Some of our Rio Foals
Bud (Skookum Masterpeace)
Bud is our appendix paint stallion. So far we have had 10 foals from him which are beautiful sport horse crosses with our mares. Bud has gorgeous movement with lots of cadence that adds athletic ability, and a nice uphill presence. Some of his previous offspring have been quite successful in dressage and hunter/jumper as well as used for 4H. He stamps all of his foals with his wonderful temperament and athletic abilities.
